Chicago-based filmmaker Sanjay Arora’s latest project “Once Again,” has won the Silver Award in the short films category at the California Film Awards announced last month. The film had its world premiere at the Delhi International Film Festival before it went on to garner several international accolades in its festival run.

Filmed in Delhi, the 50-minutes family-drama is inspired from teachings of Buddha and revolves around Raj Malhotra, played by Delhi-based actor Shaunak Kapur. Malhotra is a self-centered company executive, who uses situations and people around him to his advantage, but life takes an unexpected turn forcing him to accept reality that paves way to a journey of transformation.

“Once Again” reflects universal feelings that might leave us evaluating our own lives, Arora says in a press release. “It takes this journey to depict the reality and the process of transformation that will impact many lives positively.”

Delhi born Arora bid adieu to a career as a software engineer, to follow his dream of becoming a filmmaker and joined the New York Film Academy. His other films include “Butterfly Wings”, “Expression” and “Chase.”

Arora is currently working on two feature film. While one is a comedy, the other film is based on the 1984 Sikh riots and it’s after effects on the next generation, the press release said.
