A Texas University student from Guntur, India, was killed April 17 after suffering serious injuries in a road accident April 9, according to newspaper reports.
M. Jayabharath Kumar Reddy, 24, was pursuing M.S. final year studies in computer science in Texas University. The reports did not give details about where the car crash took place, except saying that the car in which he and his friends were returning to university at night after watching a movie was hit by a speeding truck. He died in Christus Spohn Hospital, after nine days when doctors declared him brain dead, and removed the ventilator.
The reports said he had sustained severe injuries to his head. His body was expected to have been sent to his native Guntur last week.
