South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, whose thrown her support behind Sen. Marco Rubio for President, dissed his opponent, businessman Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the Republican field.
Speaking on ABC’s George Stephanopoulos show Feb. 28, said despite polls showing Rubio was trailing in the 12 states up primaries and caucuses on Super Tuesday March 1, he will surprise everyone. Rubio will “keep fighting till the very end” and continue to surprise people as he did with pushing back at Trump in his most recent stump speeches. As for what a Trump win would mean for the GOP, Haley said, “It’s scary for the party.”
“Donald Trump is everything we teach our kids not to do in kindergarten,” Haley said. Not only is he undergoing an audit, but several of his ventures including Trump University, Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, were “all projects that failed,” Haley noted.
If Trump wins, “It will make us question who we really are and what we want,” Haley asserted. Plus, she contended, a Trump candidacy “can’t” beat Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. “His negatives are so high. His cap is 30 percent,” she said.
