American Telugu Association Plans Silver Jubilee Convention In July

The American Telugu Association organized a meet and greet with the ATA leadership at Garden Terrace Banquets in Chicago

Jan. 16, 2016 to plan and mobilize the ATA membership for their upcoming Silver Jubilee Convention slated to take place in Chicago in July this year.

The convention will be held July 1-3, 2016 at Rosemont Convention Center, Chicago and more than 12000 Telugu people from across United States, India and other parts of the world are expected to attend.

The ATA is also inviting several prominent dignitaries, community and political leaders, celebrities, and spiritual gurus from U.S.and India are expected to attend. All attendees have committed to make this event a memorable event.

ATA President Sudhakar Perkari along with ATA founder Srinivas Pinnapureddy, ATA past convener Paramesh Bheemreddy, ATA past conference coordinator Bhuvanesh Bhujala, ATA Trustee Hariprasad Lingala, ATA Regional Director SE Anil Boddireddy flew to Chicago from various states to attend the planning meeting.

During the meeting the ATA leadership interacted with more than 400 conference committee Chairs, Co-Chairs, members, volunteers and answered a number of questions from audience related to past conferences and discussed strategies to be adopted for 2016 conference.

Conference convener Chandrasekhar Reddy spoke on this occasion and expressed confidence in the ATA Convention Team.

K.K. Reedy, conference chair for fund raising updated the attendees on the current status and informed attendees that there is a tremendous enthusiasm among the Telugu Community from across United States to participate in the conference due to various community service activities that ATA is involved in both USA and India.

Fund raising events are being planned in Washington DC, New Jersey/New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Huston, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago and neighboring cities.

Several local Telugu associations who participated in the planning event and pledged their support to make the convention a grand success, included Telugu Association of Greater Chicago(TAGC), TriState Telugu Association (TTA), Chicago Telangana

Association (Chitah), Telangana Development Foundation(TDF), and the Bloomington Telugu Association.

J agan Bukkaraju conference co-convener expressed gratitude to all the Telugu organizations around Chicago for lending their support to the conference.

ATA Founder Sri Hanumantha Reddy has urged all Telugu-speaking community to come together to celebrate this event.

He said, “this convention is of the people, by the people and for the people of Telugu Community across the globe.”
