Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Happy New Year’ Cast Perform in New Jersey

Cast and crew of the much anticipated film “Happy New Year” performed for fans as part of their Slam World Tour on Sept. 20 at the Continental Arena in Secaucus, New Jersey. Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan, Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and singers Kanika Kapoor and Yo Yo Honey Singh set the stage on fire with their performance in front of the live audiences.

The show opened with Vivaan’s performance on the “Slam” track by Ram Sampath followed by Deepika’s performances on “Aahu” from “Love Aaj Kal” and “Titli” from “Chennai Express.” King Khan entered on an aerial cable and danced on his famous numbers like Chammak Challo from “Ra. One”, “Kaali Kaali Aankhe” from “Baazigar”, “Suraj Hua Maddham” from “Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham” and “Don.” Abhishek entered from the crowd and asked the thrilled audience to stand up as he rapped the song “Ek Main Aur Ek Tu Hai” from “Bluffmaster,” and then performed on “Kajrare” (“Bunty Aur Babli”), “Maa Da Ladla” and “Desi Girl” (“Dostana”) and “Nandu Bhede” from “Happy New Year.”

Farah and Boman performed on a special medley, after which Malaika performed on the song “Devil” from “Kick” and Sonu joined her on “Munni Badnam Hui” from “Dabbangg” later.

Abhishek shot the biggest selfie video in Houston and New Jersey which he took from the stage capturing the entire crowd from his phone and then he later on posted it on Instagram and Twitter which went viral immediately.

Others who performed included Yo Yo Honey Singh who sang the popular “Char Bottle Vodka” (“Raagini MMS”) “Blue Hai Paani” (“Yaariyan”), among others.

He was joined on stage by Shah Rukh, Abhishek, Boman, Vivaan and Sonu for “Lungi Dance.” “Baby Doll” fame Kanika also performed on “Jugni” with English dance duo Suleman Mirza and Madhu Singh of Signature group.

The tour which began in Houston on Sept. 19, followed by performances in Washington, D.C. (Sept. 21), Chicago (Sept. 26), Vancouver (Sept. 27) and San Jose (Sept. 28).

The group will also travel to The O2 Arena in London on Oct. 5.
